Passing Pinwheels – Free Pattern

Last summer I brought materials to the MSQC retreat.  I had everyone willing put together pinwheel blocks and came up with a layout to utilize all of them.  There is nothing more fun than surprising beauty!

In case anyone else likes this layout, I put together a pattern with some basic yardage requirements if you want to use the Sizzix 6″ triangle die like I did.  I had plenty of floral scraps that worked well for this!

The other great thing about this quilt is that the blocks easily accommodate squaring up and making them smaller if seam allowances are not quite the same.  If you do that, then be sure to reduce the length and width of your borders and sashing as well.
